These earrings are made by hand by people belonging to the Karen tribes from Thailand. The Karen hill tribe silver is over 98% pure. Pure silver granules are used as the raw material in making these earrings. The process of creating the artwork begins with melting granules, pouring into a block and waiting until this cools. When cool, the silver is taken out of the block and rolled into a flat sheet. The silver sheets are then carved and shaped as needed for each design. All of the pieces of silver are uniquely handcrafted works of art. Many of the designs are handed down through generations. Since these earrings are hand-made, there are no two exactly alike. Please be aware that there may be slight differences. This quality adds to a the great tribal look! Since these are a purer silver, they are more malleable, so take care must be taken not to twist out of shape.
