 Vintage 1935, single player payout pinball machine manufactured by Exhibit Supply Co., Chicago, Illinois (ESCO 1932-1957). Electro-mechanical machine originally run by six dry cell batteries, can be converted to plug-in with a transformer. Exhibit supply made relatively few payouts, sticking more with the "novelty" games. Many of the payout games only offered the player one ball per game and became known as "one-balls". The Johnson Act (1950) effectively made one-balls illegal because the primary goal was gambling. They payout cup can be locked so the owner can choose if the machine will be used for payout or for amusement. We have had three of the locks changed, front & side, they are all keyed alike. The lock at the back of the machine was removed & could easily be replaced. Play field is in beautiful condition, I was unable to get a really great photo to show it with too much detail unfortunately. The legs, which are really dry & in poor condition though structurally sound enough to hold this machine, may or may not be original to this game. We had to prop the rear legs up to get the game to sit level. The interior is really clean, but the exterior shows age & wear. It had been stored in a barn for many years & shows evidence of having been exposed somewhat to moisture & extreme dry. I believe this could be restored but I don't want to do anything to the machine myself. There is some splitting at the front left (as you are facing the machine). I believe this could be righted with some TLC as well. We will try to find a reliable shipper for this, but unless otherwise notified, buyer is responsible for picking up or arranging for shipping. Machine weighs 100 lbs as shown. We will consider delivery in a reasonable distance from Bisbee, AZ for the cost of gas.
